Nevada Health Centers, Inc. employs 16 physicians and 18 mid-level providers. Provider reasons for working at Nevada Health Center have a similar theme in that they enjoy giving medical care to people who have no where else to go. This could be because of geographic isolation or because of income and insurance status. Nevada Health Centers takes care of all patients. Our providers also note that they like preventive medicine and enjoy providing patients with information that will improve their overall health.
Currently we employ Family Practice doctors, OB/GYN doctors, Pediatricians, Internists, and an Endocrinologist.
The physicians and mid-level providers work under the direction of the Interim Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Darren Rahaman. A Medical Executive Committee ensures that there is physician representation at the executive level. One physician from each of our three regions (Clark County, rural Nevada and Carson City) attends monthly meetings where they discuss pertinent issues to the company, regional concerns and the practice of medicine. Physician and mid-level provider staff meetings are also held by region on a monthly basis.
Nevada Health Centers began providing dental care in 2005 and currently has 5 dentists on staff. Dr. Tyree Davis is our Dental Director and he brought two Miles for Smiles Dental buses with him when he transferred to our company. One bus operates in Clark County and the other bus operates in Elko County and surrounding rural counties. We also have fixed dental sites in Elko and Las Vegas.
